A lively harbour town with a great cultural heritage
Located in the very south of the Istrian Peninsula lies the picturesque port city of Pula. The city’s enchanting old town is home to impressive remnants of the Roman era, the excellently preserved amphitheatre, the Pula Arena, and the Temple of Roma and Augustus, as well as the medieval Fortress of Pula. The city’s surroundings are also well worth exploring. The Brijuni National Park, established during the time of Tito, is rich with exotic flora and fauna, and the spectacular town of Rovinj bustles with life and romantic charm and is definitely not to be missed.
