Itinerary Lively Cape Town Cape Town is the capital of South Africa and often referred to as the most beautiful city in the country. Table Mountain towers majestically above the capital which sprawls along the coast. The surrounding landscapes are home to vast vineyards and in the city itself, life seems to centre itself around the historic harbour. The colourful Bo-Kaap suburb is a true cultural magnet and the flora and fauna of the Cape Peninsula will have nature lovers captivated by the incredible diversity. 1. Day – Cape Town (Arrival) Individual arrival at the Cape Town International Airport followed by a transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day can be spent as you please, taking a first stroll through the city and surroundings. The night is spent in Cape Town. 2. Day – Cape Town & Table Mountain Today you have a full day to enjoy the wondersome city of Cape Town by yourself. We highly recommend using the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus, which includes all of the highlights in town. Enjoy the old harbour with a view of Table Mountain or the colourful suburb of Bo-Kaap. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a view over the town and the Cape Peninsula with a hike up Table Mountain. A gondola ride back down comes recommended (not included in tour package). 3. Day - Bike tour Bakoven – Hout Bay – Chapman’s Peak – Simon’s Town (40 km) After breakfast a transfer will take you from your hotel to Bakoven. This is the starting point of your panoramic cycle tour along the Atlantic Coast and up the Chapman’s Peak. The reward is a picture perfect view over Hout Bay. In turn, you cross the Cape Peninsula to False Bay and continue after to Simon’s Town. A visit of the penguin colony at Boulders Beach is a great way to relax and end the day. The night is spent in Simon’s Town. 4. Day - Simon’s Town - Cape Point Nature Reserve – Misty Cliffs - Simon’s Town (60 - 80 km) Today’s bike tour will take you from Simon’s Town along the coast to the entrance of the Cape Point National Park. Enjoy the incredible view of the coast before you continue cycling south to the Cape of Good Hope. Afterwards you continue to the old light house at Cape Point, where you will be left wondering which view was more beautiful. If you wish, you can continue on foot to the official lookout point. From here, you return to Simon’s Town by bicycle via Scarborough and the wonderful Misty Cliffs. The night is spent in Simon’s Town. 5. Day - Simon’s Town – Cape Town (departure) After breakfast a transfer will take you to the Cape Town International Airport for your flight home or for a continued journey to another destination.
