Family Escapes: Bike, Sail and Explore in Dalmatia This Multi-Adventure Cruise in South Dalmatia is particularly well-suited for families. It combines the popular bathing cruise concept with a variety of activities. Spend a week on a charming motor vessel that takes you from island to island, sparing you the hassle of packing suitcases and searching for accommodations. Along with nights spent in port, we also spend some nights in quiet bays. Decide each day anew whether you would like to go for a bike or a hike, go rafting or rather stroll leisurely through the unique small harbour towns of the Adriatic - or simply spend the day relaxing on board. This is indeed a pleasant way of exploring Southern Dalmatia, possibly Croatia’s most attractive coastal region. A well-informed tour guide who can always point out various possibilities of creating an active or a relaxed holiday accompanies you. Local stories and legends and the country’s cultural treasures - most of which are protected by UNESCO’s World Heritage program – bring Croatia’s eventful history to life. After check in on the motor yacht (at around 2:30 pm) the first cruise starts around 3 pm from Trogir to the Island of Brač. On the way we have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim from the boat. The first night is spent in Milna on the Island of Brač. 2nd Day Islands of Brač - Hvar - Vis In the morning your ship will take you to the island of Hvar and its capital city of the same name. After arriving, you can take a tour of the city, including the large Renaissance Square framed by the cathedral and many late gothic palaces. Then, we cross over to the island of Vis. Lunch will be served on board during the crossing. We will stop for a swim along the way, providing the perfect opportunity to dive into the sea and enjoy a little break. Overnight stay in Vis. 3rd Day Island of Hvar We start with a morning cruise to Stari Grad on the beautiful island of Hvar. Before lunch, there will be a long swim stop for refreshment. Lunch will then be served on board before the crossing continues. In the afternoon, the ship will finally arrive at the port of Stari Grad. A group bike tour offers the ideal opportunity to actively explore the surrounding area. Overnight stay in Stari Grad. 4th Day Island of Hvar(aprx. 13 km) The morning starts with a bike ride from Stari Grad to Jelsa. Around noon, the ship also reaches the port of Jelsa, where all guests gather back on board. Shortly afterwards, we start cruising. On anchor, you can enjoy a refreshing swim followed by lunch on board. The day ends with the Captain's Dinner on board. Overnight accommodation is either in the charming harbor of Jelsa or on anchor. 5th Day Island of Brač The morning is spent on board enjoying a cruise to Postira on the island of Brač. Upon arrival, you will take a bike ride from Postira to Lovrečina Beach. Here all islandhoppers are invited to a game of Beach Olympics on the beach and enjoy plenty of swimming fun. Lunch will be served on board. In the afternoon, you can explore the region around Postira on a bike tour or a walk. Overnight stay in Postira. 6th Day Postira – Omiš - Split During breakfast the boat brings us to Omiš, where you can take part in a rafting tour on the Cetina River. Lunch will then be served on board during the crossing to Split. In the afternoon we can explore the bustling city of Split. We enjoy an exciting tour through the UNESCO World Heritage old town, built adjoining the walls of the Diocletian Palace. The night is spent in Split. 7th Day Island of Šolta – Trogir (aprx. 8 km) In the first half of the day we can cycle on the island of Šolta to Goran, a local beekeeper to participate in an interactive workshop on bees, their purpose, products and the life of a beekeeper. Goran is an expert in capturing the fascination of young and old with the enthusiasm he has for the bees which he keeps. We return to Rogač where the boat awaits. Lunch will be enjoyed on board during the last crossing by boat for the week as the captain charters his course back to Trogir. Along the way the anchor is dropped for an enjoyable dip in the Adriatic directly from the boat. In the afternoon we enjoy Trogir by taking a walk through the UNESCO protected old town. Traditionally the last evening before disembarkation is spent cheerfully with guests, crew and guides. 8th Day Trogir (Disembarkation) After breakfast disembarkation takes place until 9 am followed by an individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia. Accommodation San Snova (Premium Class) The wooden motor yacht San Snova took its maiden voyage in 2009 and was constructed exclusively for Islandhopping. Built by hand over the course of three years, this was the last wooden passenger ship of its kind to be built in Croatia. The cabins are spacious and comfortable and furnished functionally. They are all air conditioned and include a private bathroom with a shower and WC. The wood clad saloon emits a relaxing atmosphere which is carried throughout the boat with the many comfortable sitting areas on the ships decks. Sunning mats can be enjoyed on the sundeck. We did the family tour on the Croatian islands with our 13 yr old daughter.
