Cycletours - Who we are

Established in 1981, Cycletours is one of the pioneers in cycling holidays. We offer a wide range of tours for experienced cyclists, beginners, and families with children. We also offer scheduled coach lines with “Cycling Buses” to several European countries.

In 1987 Cycletours opened a new branch: Bike & Barge Holidays, designed for tourists wanting to discover Holland & Europe. We were the first company to offer trips such as these, combining regular cycling tours with overnight stays on a ship that served as hotel and luggage transport all-in-one! This has led to increased interest from around the world in the Netherlands and Europe as a tourist destination. All our staff have a passion for cycling and are environmentally conscious.

What Cycletours offers its clients

Our 40 years’ worth of experience have taught us exactly what cycling tourists require: beautiful bicycle routes, comfortable quarters with quality food and luggage transport, a sturdy, fitted bicycle, a clear itinerary, and, for the groups, a competent guide to assist with technical problems. All the guests have to do is keep the pedals moving round and admire the view – Cycletours Holidays will do the rest. Our office is located centrally in Europe, in Amsterdam, and we are constantly working to ensure client satisfaction. We’re all set to go – get on your bicycle and join us.

Islandhopping's growth through Cycletours

It is great to work closely with likeminded people and Cycletours are just that. Both Islandhopping and Cycletours offer a similar product, Cycletours on the rivers, and Islandhopping on the sea. This provides a mutual understanding between our two companies for the work we do and the challenges we face as well as a shared client base interested in this kind of travel.
