Would you like to spend a few days in Dalmatia before or after your Islandhopping tour? Are you looking for a program that offers you both organised activities as well as enough free time? Then we recommend our three-day extension program in the town of Sinj, inland from Split town. This program includes two nights’ accommodation with breakfast, a guided city tour of Sinj and an exiting jeep or quad tour along the river Cetina.
We are happy to arrange additional nights with breakfast in Trogir, the starting point of your trip. The medieval town of Trogir is like an open air museum and is certainly at the top of the list of places to see in Croatia. On a stroll through the winding lanes of the old town you will encounter countless architectural treasures and lively squares with well-frequented cafés and ice cream parlours.
We are happy to arrange additional nights with breakfast in the historical city centre of Split. The city of Split with its legendary Diocletian Palace is located about 30 km from Trogir and is definitely worth a visit. Incredible cultural treasures blend with lively city life and the long promenade, excellent shopping facilities and great restaurants will leave a lasting impression on you.
Due to our international audience all Islandhopping tours are conducted bilingually, in English and German.
We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary, depending on wind and weather conditions or organizational requirements. Sometimes the tour will be conducted in reverse order. You will find further details in your booking information package.
Level 2 - 3
The cycling routes require a basic level of fitness, which you should have acquired by steady cycling. The routes can reach an altitude of 200 to 500 meters. The daily routes, of 20 – 45 km/12 – 28 mi., cover hilly and mountainous terrain and can be completed without time constraints. You will also come across some longer and rather steep climbs, where walking your bike is of course permitted. The tour guides will inform you about the course of the tour in due time. This tour is primarily a guided group tour. Upon consultation with your tour guides, the possibility to cycle on your own along recommended, suitable routes, may present itself.
On our regular cycling tours the riding pace is determined by the cyclists on regular bicycles. We ask guests who have reserved an e-bike to be mindful of this and to acknowledge that also the regular cyclists need time to rest and longer to climb the hills. Thank you for your understanding.
Helmets are mandatory on our bike tours. It is advised to bring your own, well fitted, helmet with you as our rental helmet numbers are limited (reservation required).
We believe that only children with a good physical condition and previous bicycle tour experience and a minimum age of 10 are able to master the cycle tours ith their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 1.30 m (4.3 ft.) for hybrid bikes.
For the best tour experience with children, we recommend our Multi-Adventure tours in Croatia or Greece. We are convinced that these itineraries provide the best all-round experience for each individual family member when travelling as a family.
The tour which you have booked requires a bike with a fully functional set of gears. Islandhopping can offer you high quality, fully serviced rental bikes perfect for the terrain of this tour.
Should you however wish to bring your own hybrid bicycle with you, please make sure to check the condition of your breaks, gears, and tires and don’t forget to bring along a puncture repair kit and the essential spare parts for your bike (e.g. brake pads and spare tubes). Your bike should be in prefect mechanical working order.
We do not allow private e-bikes on board of our boats. This decision has been made due to health and safety regulations. If you wish to ride an e-bike for the duration of your tour, please get in touch with us about the rental options.
Liability disclaimer: Radurlaub Zeitreisen GmbH. Will not be held liable for any damages caused to private bikes during loading, unloading or other logistical handling thereof.
Please do not forget that the ship is your hotel as well as a machine, which has to be maintained and operated – day and night. A certain level of noise is therefore inevitable.
This tour sometimes takes place parallel to our MTB & Boat South Dalmatia tour on the same boat. One tour guide accompanies the mountain bikers whilst the other accompanies the hybrid cyclists. This is perfect for travellers who wish to spend their holiday together, but do not share the same riding style.
The on-board chef is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and one or two warm meals a day. The catering consists of 2 x full board and 5 x half board. Catering starts with the dinner on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.
I really enjoyed my time on the trip. The entire staff was fantastic and courteous. I could not have had such a wonderful time without them. The Boat captain was tremendously nice as so was the guides. They made the vacation fun and memorable. Everyone of the staff members from the Chef to the bar staff were easy to get along with and kept the ship running and made us feel very welcomed and entertained and very safe. I never felt like I had to be looking over my shoulder nor worry. They made us …
