Hygiene and Safety Concept for Islandhopping Tours

It is our biggest wish at Islandhopping to be able to operate our tours without any restrictions; however, the global situation has had a great influence on all of our daily lives and will continue to do so for this season. Throughout 2021, Islandhopping will adhere to the respective country regulations and hygiene measures, as far as they are ethically justifiable and logistically possible, and will inform you prior to the start of your trip about the regulations that will apply to you on your visit.

Regardless of the country-specific regulations, the following hygiene standards will apply to all Islandhopping tours in all destinations: Islandhopping Hygiene Concept. These measures are based on our functional hygiene concept from 2020, which proved successful in preventing any infections from being transmitted on our trips without compromising the usual friendly atmosphere on board.

Early tour dates and destinations in which tours cannot take place in 2021

– Our Lofoten tour in Norway will not take place in 2021. Our Scotland tours will only take place in autumn.

– Our tour dates for 2022 are online and bookable. These offer great alternatives for anyone affected directly by travel restrictions in 2021 to rebook, and for enthusiastic Islandhopper’s to secure themselves their preferred travel date for the next season.

Our current booking and cancellation terms

We want to be sure that once our destinations allow travel, we also have enough participants booked to allow the tours to take place. Therefore we will be offering in 2021 the following booking conditions for all new bookings on Islandhopping original departures:

– Book now and pay later. Full payment is due 30 days before the tour
– Free cancellation and rebooking to a later tour in 2021 up to 30 days before the tour

We would like to ask you not to cancel your booking with us prematurely! A free cancellation of your booking is possible if the trip has to be canceled by the tour operator, an official travel warning has been issued for the period of your trip or if quarantine measures are in effect upon your arrival or departure. The requirement to present a negative test result when travelling does not entitle a free cancellation.

As no one can predict further developments, and as changes can occur at short notice, we ask for your patience. We assure you that great considerations is taken in deciding whether a trip can be carried out or not and, if necessary, we will cancel the departure ourselves. In this case, we will take up direct contact with all effected guest and inform them of their options.
