Itinerary PRIOR to the Islandhopping holiday Kingdom of Water, Meadows, and Mountains Sinj is located just a few kilometres from Split in the heart of the Dalmatian Zagora. The town is surrounded by the Dinara Mountains and the Sinjsko polje - a fertile karst where life has been shaped for centuries by the crystal-clear river Cetina. Sinj is famous for the knights' game of Alka and the pilgrimage to the miraculous Madonna of Sinj. Besides its rich history, the town impresses above all with its spectacular nature; high mountains and a unique river landscape come together to create an area of exceptional beauty. Day (Wed) – Travel to Sinj Individual arrival to Sinj in your own car or per plane to Split airport followed by a taxi transfer or a transfer organized by Islandhopping (additional charge) to your hotel in Sinj. Day (Thu) – A day in Sinj and the surroundings During the first half of the day you have time to enjoy an outing in the spectacular landscapes surrounding Sinj. Take inspiration from our suggested selection of possible activities in the area. Alternatively you can also enjoy a visit to one of the interesting museums in the town to learn more about the colorful history of the Cetina Region. Day (Fri) –Travel to Split or Trogir You either travel with your own car to Split or Togir or a transfer driver will pick you up at the hotel reception in Sinj (time confirmed on voucher) and will take you to the starting point of your Islandhopping trip in Split or Trogir. You can look forward to the beautiful Dabar Bay, home to a spring that transforms into a river during the summer months. Lake Peruča rounds off the tour. You are welcome to bring your swimsuits and towels. The 105km long Cetina river is characterized by breathtaking nature and is rightly called one of the most beautiful river landscapes in Croatia. Included in the price: Kayak equipment, guide, about 2.5 hours of kayaking (10km), picnic by the river (homemade cheese, sausage, bread). The start of the tour is agreed with the guests (morning or afternoon). Get to know this breathtakingly beautiful landscape in the company of a local guide! If you wish, you are welcome to bring your swimsuit and towels and go swimming in the river Cetina or in Lake Peruča.
